Hi! Yes, it’s normal for the ambient lighting in the VW ID.7 to dim or turn off in daylight to save energy. There might not be a setting to adjust this, as it’s designed for energy efficiency.

the ambient lighting tends to go off during the day. It's an automatic feature to save energy and because it's less effective in daylight. There isn't a setting to keep it on all the time, but it's designed that way to enhance visibility when it matters most.
To manually turn on the lights instead of using the automatic setting, use the knob located on the left side of the steering wheel.

Thanks for the insights. I will just live with the audio-dimming after all it is not such a big deal.
