So basically opening the boot is really easy, but I cant figure out how to close it.
Maybe I am doing something wrong. Anyone know how it works?

Just use the key fob. Press and hold the trunk button. But you have to do this when the vehicle is off. I hope it helped.

Why not from the driver's seat?
@somerandomguy, pull the switch on the driver's door in a perpendicular position, and hold it there until the trunk is fully closed.

Yeah, I wondered why that thing only pulls upwards. I just assumed it only opens.

I had to be close to the car to get it to close using the key. And when using the driver side button the car had to be on.

I know you're supposed to be able to close the trunk by holding the key fob button, and most of the time it works. But sometimes, no matter how many times I try, that darn thing just refuses to cooperate. Makes me think there's gotta be some weird situation where the fob just won't close the trunk, just like the other person was saying.

If you are too far away from the trunk it does not work.
