I can't decide between the Ioniq 6, Polestar 2, Tesla Model 3, and Volkswagen ID.7. I'd be interested in knowing your personal experiences and opinions regarding their features, performance, range, and design.

I recently placed an order for an ID.7, as I'm looking for a more relaxed and comfortable driving experience compared to my Model 3. While the Model 3 is a great car, it has some drawbacks, such as the lack of an easily adjustable speed limiter and the occasional intrusive lane-keeping and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, the constant chimes and alerts can be annoying.

The ID.7, on the other hand, offers a quieter, more refined, and spacious interior. The build quality feels solid, although perhaps not as luxurious as the Mercedes EQE. While it may not be as engaging to drive as the Model 3, it provides a more comfortable and stress-free driving experience.

I appreciate the insights on the ID.7's comfort and build quality. The quieter drive sounds appealing compared to the Model 3's alerts.

Hey, just remember you're on the ID 7 Forum, and it can be pretty biased around here!

Just so you know, I’m rooting for the ID 7.

Haha, I appreciate the heads-up! I’m interested in the ID.7, but I want to consider all options before making my final choice.

I just got mine 2 months ago.

I am really happy with it thus far, however I do have a 12v battery issue. Its getting swapped just have not gotten around to it yet.

Other then that, I don't really have anything to complain about, the ride is very nice and has plenty of features, very little road noise, spacious, comfortable, great turning radius, I live in Europe so having a good turning radius is actually very helpful.

The only thing that might bug me a bit every now and then, and that is the fact that the driving mode resets every time you start the car.

Also I could not get used to the car turning off all the time whenever I left it, I was used to manually turning off my old EV, and had a habit of just leaving it on when going for a quick trip to the shop. However in the ID.7 if you turn on the "ignition" and leave the car it starts beeping inside the car and eventually just turns off anyways. Which is annoying if I want to leave my wife in the car and head to the shop quickly. I did figure out after a while that you can turn on the climate control and turn off the interior monitoring right as you are ready to leave, then the person sitting in the car just has to turn on the infotainment system by pressing the on/off button. Kinda sucks having to tell people which are waiting in the car how to use it every time. But this is the same in almost all new EV's.

I’ve been eyeing the ID.7 for ages and probably would’ve bought one by now if it were available in the U.S. But this week, I leased an Ioniq 6 instead. It’s smaller than I wanted, but Hyundai’s incentives are wild. Plus, the rear end looks like a classic Porsche. Can’t tell you what car you’ll love, but the Ioniq 6 lease is a steal right now. I could’ve splurged, but I’m just stoked to pay peanuts!

I have to say, and i hope this helps your case, the way i picked ID7 over Model Y and the rest of them was the room. Forget about how it looks, some ppl like the 7, some laught at it, but the most important to me was how i feel in there. To me that was the leading factor being 196cm tall, i feel like i'd never switch for another car. You know the rest - VW is probably the worst in terms of SW updates, but with this car i feel like i don't really care about updates too much. Amazing range, not so WOWed about the sound system, in love with the trunk and the back seats as well, gotta hate the semi-transparent sunroof which won't block all the sun when you need it to, but is cool when it rains (for example), love the seats if you get the ergo ones, and so on...
