Hello everyone! Could you guys tell me if the mirror-dipping feature on the ID.7 Tourer works on both side mirrors when you select reverse? Or does it work only for the passenger-side mirror? Thanks!

I don't think it was supposed to work on both side mirrors. I have read a lot of reviews from users, and all of them say it works only for the passenger-side mirror.

On most VW models, the mirror-dipping feature typically works on the passenger-side mirror when you select reverse. But hey, you can check your settings to see if you can enable both side mirrors for this function.

I've noticed with my ID7 fastback that the nearside mirror dips when I go into reverse. Seems like that’s how it’s supposed to work, at least from what I understand.

This is pretty cool! If set up right, the left mirror will tilt down when you go into reverse, as long as the adjust knob is set to the left. It’ll automatically return to its normal position once you go forward above 5 or 10 mph, or if you switch the knob back to the center. I haven’t tested it out yet, though!

I've been testing the mirror-dipping feature myself, and from what I've experienced, it seems to be primarily focused on the passenger-side mirror when you shift into reverse. This is pretty standard for most cars, as it helps you see the curb and avoid scraping your wheels when parking. I haven't noticed the driver-side mirror dipping as significantly if at all, when reversing. It might adjust slightly, but the main dipping action seems to be on the passenger side. So far, it looks like just the passenger-side mirror gets the full dip.

See if your mirror switch is on the passenger side. It should dip when you reverse. If you need both, it's in the settings somewhere.

That's a good one! I'm actually not sure about the ID.7 Tourer specifically. I've been wondering about the variations of this featuer across different models. Have you tried testing it out yourself in a safe spot? Put the car in reverse and see if both mirrors dip. It might depend on your settings or even the driving mode you're in. I'd love to know what you find
