VW ID 5.0 software

A friend from Europe that the new software version 5.0 is available. There's no word yet on what all of that does, but we'll most likely be receiving update notifications soon.

The new Volkswagen system might not be 5.0. The press release only mentions MIB4. We will have to wait and see!

There have been rumors of 5.0 being released but these are just mere speculations as of the moment, we don't have enough data about this update and they are only talking about the 4.1 being developed as of the moment and the ID 7 would have the 5.0 already installed but other than that we've got nothing.

Its been 3 months since the 5.0 announcement, how does it affect our VW ID.7 and why havent we received any announcements about its progress?

The OTA updates should be standard on the 2024 models, right? The software screenshots look like they're running 4.0, but they might be calling it 5.0 because of the ChatGPT integration. I'm not sure about that, but anything's possible with VW's software. The press release talks about MIB4, which is probably just the hardware name.
